Who we are
Board Game Reader (https://www.boardgamereader.co.uk) is an unofficial fan-content driven portal to share resources on all things related to board games. If you have any direct questions, please feel free to email the owner of this website, Ken Wong, here.

What information is being collected?
By submitting data through our forms, you are providing your consent to use this data to get back to you with your enquiry. The following fields are collected through our forms and are fairly self explanatory, there is no sensitive information collected: Name, Email, Message (for Contact Requests), Board Game Name (for Game Requests).

To better answer your query, the following categories have been assigned Fan/Voice Actor/Marketing/Other for our ease of identification. Upon the release of new board game content, we may directly email a respondent who has requested this game to keep them informed.

Lastly, much like the majority of websites, cookies gather basic web statistics for monitoring purposes (number of visitors, IP location etc.) a list of these cookies can be found below.

Who is collecting it?
The Board Game Reader team collects this data to directly respond to requests/enquiries and for monitoring purposes. It is not stored in any physical medium but digitally in the form of a direct email message to our secure inbox and via. Google Spreadsheets through the use of Google Forms.

How is it collected?
Alongside the odd couple of basic cookies, we presently have two contact forms on the website which can collect data. One through a plugin of WordPress and the other Google Forms.

Why is it being collected?
In order for us to respond to enquiries, we must keep your details to enable us to reply. Game requests allow us to monitor and prioritise our recording timeline to best suit the needs of the audience.

How will it be used?
So that we are able to address the correct recipient, we will use this data to respond directly to enquiries/requests. Game requests will be tallied and reviewed weekly so that we can see what is under popular demand by our audiences. The data submitted from Contact Forms will be held at most a year's time whereas the data submitted from Game Requests will be held indefinitely as this is required for us to provide relevant content.

Who will it be shared with?
As previously affirmed, Board Game Reader will not disclose any of its data to any 3rd party organisation. It is used for correspondence and monitoring purposes.

What will be the effect of this on the individuals concerned?
There will be minimal effect except its specific use for correspondence: we will reply to you if you message us (it's also basic courtesy!).

Is the intended use likely to cause individuals to object or complain?
Very unlikely, you give and you take! We will only send a normal amount of emails until the enquiry/request is resolved. There will be of course no spamming.
